Oh, hey.

It’s been a while since I’ve done this, so I’m not exactly sure to begin. Do we start back at the beginning, when a kid in fifth grade got a compliment on a writing assignment and decided to make it her dream? Or do we go the teenager in high school with a story complete but no confidence to try and publish it. Maybe we can flash forward from that to the 20 something year old working on a story she began shortly after that fifth grade breakthrough. When she had enough confidence in herself that she turned her story, her work, in a blog that she kept running for a good while.

How many of those versions of myself would be disappointed of today’s model. Months without writing any words. Another slump, drama at home, a thousand reasons, but no real excuses.

How many New Year’s resolutions have I broken?

I’ve lost myself for a little bit and now I’m trying to get back on track. I miss the writing. I miss the blogging. I miss the other bloggers. I miss being a part of a community of people who like to share their stories and ideas with the world.

So here I am.

Welcome home, don’t be a stranger again.

Since it’s been so long, I almost feel like I need to start from scratch.

But where to begin?

On a Lighter Note

I reached a milestone today. I haven’t given my blog the attention it deserves but I have managed to reach 2000 views.

It looks like I’m close to another milestone as well. 25 more visitors to break a grand. Thanks to everyone who have visited my blog and left a like, commented, reblogged, or have shown this blog some love. I plan going forward to not only work more on this blog, but do better as a reader to my fellow bloggers.

New Pet and a New Domain Name

Hey everyone, it’s been an interesting couple of days. As a graduation present from my mother-in-law, I got a kitty.

His name is Toothless (after the dragon of course). He is super lovable and enjoys to play. This is the third day he’s been home and he has definitely taken to me. I leave the living room and he comes looking for me if I’m gone too long. I am happy to have a cat again and I’m glad our daughter has a pet to grow with.

In other news, I have a new domain for the blog. You can now find this site at https://victoriaslebron.com. Well, that link may or may not work for the next few days. Now, my pizza’s almost done but I’ll make sure to post again tonight.

An Introduction (Again)

I have been away from WordPress for at least a month. I have been gone so long, I have felt the urge to simply just start over. Throw all the older blogs into a pre-2016 category and start again, but that’s a lot of work. And I don’t really want to start over. Give an update, yes.

I have been gone because of our move and because of this speech class I’m almost done with that required a detailed outline every other week and a speech the weeks in between (which was not great for me because I’m not extremely comfortable giving speeches to my webcam). I am happy to say I have one more speech left, which I need to get done before Tuesday night.

I haven’t been completely avoiding my writing (I couldn’t go too long without doing any writing- I become pretty irritable). I have been editing the first series from my other blog, The SRT Archives, and making lots of changes and additions. My plan is to publish a more finished and complete version of the story.

But why? Isn’t it free on my blog?

Part of the story is yes, but I have added at least 20 more chapters and am planning on adding more. My original idea was to have each character have their own story, which comes together with the others to create a bigger story. I believe I have accomplished that with the additions I made.

I will update the chapters that are on my blog to reflect the new changes, but any new chapters will only be included in the published version.

Not sure how far away I am on publishing. I’m still not entirely sure what platform I am going to use either. If anyone has a recommendation. I have considered both Kindle Publishing and Smashwords but I still have some research to do and get more suggestions before I commit.

I am also planning on making some changes to this blog. Considering buying my own domain (at least through WordPress) for now. I know I don’t have a lot of time to put in my blog (still have two months of school and have to start working again before/once I finish).

Well, I think that’s the big update. I don’t want to be a stranger for a month ago, I definitely missed my WordPress community/family.

Oh, hey.

On break from school and finally recovered from Comic-Con weekend. Starting to work on the writing again. Trying to get as much in before the end of September when the next batch of classes start. Look for the post to start up again at the other blog next week.
Things at work are…well, work. One of my managers is temporarily at another location and that may or may not have to do with me calling her out for being super unfair and seeming as if she has favorites.
Oops… Okay, not really. Something had to be said about the situation.
Anyway, I’ve missed a lot here on WordPress. Normally, I would check the app a few times every day but my visits have been less frequent in the past month or so. Glad to see Harsh Reality is back up and running and excited to read what’s going on at the other awsome blogs I follow.
Now to get some snuggle time in and maybe sneak in some writing before bed. Good night!

The second chapter is up on my other blog- finally. Check it out at the link below.

Now off to do some more Couponing with my wife.

Falling Behind..

On my other blog. Need to post the next chapter tonight- we’ll see how that goes.
Been working graveyard shift at work- have one more week of it. Trying to cover a few people we lost. Enjoying the quiet workspace while I can. Not looking forward to going back to daytime and dealing with ridiculous people but this is the job I chose for now.
Anyway, happy 4th everyone. Most of the fireworks are probably done by now but I’m sure there is still some partying going on. Be safe and don’t drink and drive.

Woot woot!

Hit another milestone last night while off in dreamworld. 1000 hits- yay! I consider this pretty awesome considering I’m a pretty lazy blogger still and I haven’t been too active since the peanut arrived. So, thanks to everyone who comes and visits the blog and leaves likes and comments- I appreciate it.

A Milestone

I am not popular, and I will probably never claim to be. I don’t write nor blog to get a bunch of followers. If I get some along the way, I appreciate it and be thankful to have you. If I only have one or a handful forever then okay, I will appreciate you few even more. Anyway, I reached a small milestone tonight.

So thank you. Here’s to another 500 more (hopefully faster than the first).

Wonderful Blog Wednesday: Video Game Sanctum

My WordPress feed has been kind of slow the past few days, so I was worried about finding an awesome blog to write about. Video Game Sanctum had caught my attention some days before with a review of the new Zelda game coming out (which I will hopefully be getting as a birthday gift..) so I decided to check it out some more today. I am very satisfied with this blog. News about everything video game related- reviews, updates on consoles and gaming news, and the monthly reminder of which games PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold members will be offered for free. And if you like writing about video games, they are looking for more writers.
I choice to reblog a short a post about Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea because Bioshock is awesome.

Video Game Sanctum

bioshock-infinite-burial-at-the-sea-Get ready to return to Rapture (before it was ruined.) The first story-related DLC for Bioshock Infinite is coming out November 12th. If you bought the season pass, you can just download it, but if you didn’t it will cost you $14.99. Burial at Sea Episode One sees Booker and Elizabeth exploring the city of Rapture the night before its fall and includes new weapons and a new Plasmid. I can’t wait to visit Rapture again as I love that place, too bad it isn’t real 😦
